About Me
I'm a pianist, keyboardist, composer, and arranger driven by the roots music of my home state of North Carolina, including jazz, blues, country, and bluegrass. This fall, I will begin my studies at the University of Texas at Austin's Butler School of Music.
Essentially Ellington Composition Contest
I was recently selected as the winner of the 2024 Dr. J. Douglas White Essentially Ellington Student Composition/Arranging Contest, including a cash prize, a lesson with the renowned Ted Nash, a recording session in which the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, and a performance of my composition by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra 2024 Essentially Ellington Competition and Festival.
