When I arrived in Austin for my first semester of college, I was immediately missing home. As I usually do when I'm feeling homesick, I turned to Chapel Hill legend Elizabeth Cotten. This is my big band adaptation of a tune she wrote as a teenager almost 120 years ago about the trains rolling by her North Carolina home entitled "Freight Train".
